Promising Middlesbrough youngster announces departure from the club via Twitter

Middlesbrough youngster Alex Pattison has announced via his official Twitter account that he will part ways with the club at the end of the season.

Pattison is currently on loan from Middlesbrough at League Two side Yeovil Town. Although they currently sit second bottom in the fourth tier, Pattison has been a shining light at Huish Park.

The 21-year old has played 30 times this season, and could be given a chance to join Yeovil on a permanent deal. However, no report is yet to surface about what the future holds for Pattison.

The youngster announced via Twitter this afternoon that he would be departing Middlesbrough only two years after signing his first professional contract with the Teessiders. The midfielder has been at Boro since he was six years old, and will end a 15 year affinity with his boyhood club.

Pattison was full of praise for Middlesbrough as a club, and thanked everyone involved with the club.

He said “Would just like to thank everyone at Boro for the last 15 years I’ve spent there and some of memories and people I’ve met. Time to move onto a new challenge next season, but for now the focus is the last big push these last four games at Yeovil.”

Yeovil sit two points from safety, and face two Play Off chasing teams at home in their final four games, with difficult fixtures against Carlisle and Colchester. They also pay a visit to Crewe Alexandra and Northampton Town before the end of the season.
