‘We can’t wait to get going’ – Keith Curle ready for Northampton Town’s play-off bid

Northampton Town head coach Keith Curle has told the club website that his team are ready to compete in the Sky Bet League Two play-offs.

While League Two has been finished early for the season, there are still some things that need to be sorted out. One of those things are the play-offs. The usual end of season lottery was at risk of not happening but is starting to become more likely that they will happen.

And one man who is ready for them is Curle. They are waiting for the official ratification that the play-offs can go ahead but he has said that when everything is sorted, they can’t wait to get going. The Cobblers would qualify for the play-offs after finishing 7th in League Two and this would present a great chance for them to be promoted to Sky Bet League One. And Curle has said all the team is preparing for these crucial matches.

Curle said: “Being part of a play off campaign will be fantastic for us and we can’t wait to get going,

“We are getting all the information we need on board and awaiting the phone call that says we have the clearance to return and get going again. If we do, we will be going all out to win promotion.

“As a group, the squad are very well connected, together and very focussed and there has certainly been a step up in intensity about them in the last few days. We are awaiting clarity but we can now see there is something to aim for, a prize to go for and we will be up for it and ready, there is no doubt about that.”
